Surgery in ultra-modern operating theatres

On the 3rd floor, we have six operating theatres, a sterilisation department and a recovery ward with day-clinic rooms, which is looked after by our anaesthetics department. There is also an operating theatre on the 5th floor especially for outpatient operations. The collaboration between nursing staff and doctors in the operating theatre requires a high degree of professionalism, especially for minimally invasive procedures. The nursing staff who care for you in the operating theatre usually have many years of professional experience and regularly take part in further training.

Attentive care in the recovery room

If you have been given a general anaesthetic, you will wake up shortly after the operation. At this point, you will be responsive but still tired and will be transferred to the recovery room for further care. Here you will be looked after by an experienced and attentive nursing team. Once the effects of the general anaesthetic or rapid sedation have worn off, you will be transferred to your room. After an outpatient procedure, your relatives can collect you at this point. It is important to us that you leave the recovery room without severe pain, nausea or dizziness. Our nursing staff are available for you at all times and will help you immediately if necessary. Unfortunately, it is not possible for relatives to visit you in the recovery room: this is required both by hygiene regulations and to protect the privacy of all patients.

Always in focus: hospital hygiene

We have set up an interdisciplinary hygiene committee to implement and monitor the general hygiene guidelines. This committee decides on preventative measures to prevent nosocomial infections and other infections caused by epidemiological pathogens. This is based on the relevant legislation, the recommendations of the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention at the Robert Koch Institute, the recommendations of scientific societies, current scientific studies and other legally relevant requirements.

Your catering: large selection of fresh dishes

We spoil you with a rich breakfast and dinner with plenty of choice. Your meal will be served to you in bed by our service staff. At lunchtime we serve you a 3- to 4-course menu put together according to your wishes. Various coffee specialities are also available. Our kitchen prepares the meals fresh every day. We are happy to cater for individual dietary requirements. Patients with optional services receive an extended range of meals.
