Information on the topic of snoring

1.Causes of snoring

The snoring sound is caused by the slack palate tissue, the retracted tongue and the uvula vibrating due to the increased air resistance when breathing in.

2.When is snoring pathological?

If you feel that your health is impaired.

3.How dangerous is snoring?

Snoring reduces the supply of oxygen to the brain. Is breathing only impaired or does it even stop temporarily?
This can result in symptoms such as reduced performance, concentration problems, increasing daytime tiredness, morning headaches, lack of motivation, increased irritability or even potency problems.
Other long-term consequences include cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmia.

4.What can you do to stop snoring?

It is important to be examined by a doctor. Only a specialist can recommend the right therapy for you.

5.Checklist

  • Do you snore?
  • Have you already noticed pauses in your breathing?
  • Do you not feel rested despite getting enough sleep?
  • Do you often feel tired during the day?
  • Do you wake up more often at night?
  • Do you suffer from frequent headaches?
  • Do you suffer from cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure or cardiac arrhythmia?
