Before your hospitalisation, you may want to know more about what to expect on the ward and what you should think about in advance. We have summarised the most important information for you here.

Three important steps before your surgery appointment
1. Intake Interview
Please make an appointment for this consultation, during which we will also conclude the treatment contract. Alternatively, you can drop by the Patient Administration office on the 3rd floor diagonally opposite the anaesthetics department during opening hours:
- Mondays and Thursdays: 14:00 to 19:00
- Tuesdays: 14:00 to 17:30
- Wednesdays and Fridays by telephone appointment only

2. Appointment with the Anaesthetist
Please also make an appointment with the anaesthetist, who will discuss important issues relating to your anaesthetic with you. This appointment can take place in conjunction with your admission consultation. Telephone appointment:

3. Call Your Specialist Practice on the Day Before Your Inpatient Admission
Please call your specialist practice on the day before your inpatient admission to find out what time we are expecting you at the patient reception on the 3rd floor.

Important for you and your visitors
The main entrance to the PAN Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and on Sundays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. If the main entrance is closed, please use the side entrance "Am Alten Posthof".
What do I need to bring?
- Please bring a current medication plan and a sufficient quantity of your medication for the duration of your stay, including the respective packaging.
- Insurance card
- Comfortable clothing
- For orthopaedic and neurosurgery patients: slippers that give you support - preferably even trainers
- Aids prescribed for the operation such as forearm crutches, medical thrombosis prophylaxis or compression stockings, splints, corsets, etc.
- Aids that you need in everyday life, such as a sleep apnoea therapy device or similar.
- For patients with statutory health insurance: Please remember that you must pay the statutory co-payment of 10.00 euros per day in cash on the day of discharge (also possible on weekdays by EC or credit card).

- Hairdryer
- Please do not bring any valuables with you
